Mandalian Mfg Co of Massachusetts USA produced these rather special metal mesh purses during the 1920's.
This beautiful example highlights the high attention to detail that is found in the Mandalian purses.
Enameled in shades of blue and white in an Art Deco geometric pattern, with a silvertone metal frame that features embossed tulip or snowdrop flowers. It has a kiss clasp, each side topped with a cobalt blue glass orb.
The condition is as close to excellent as a 100 year old purse can be. The frame has a natural age appropriate amount of gentle patina, overall the purse has no damage and only the lightest of wear.
9cm wide across the base, from bottom of base trim to top of kiss clasp is 17.5cm.
