Mandalian Mfg Co of Massachusetts USA produced these rather special metal mesh purses during the 1920's. The inside of the frame has the makers mark as seen in photo.
This beautiful example highlights the high attention to detail that is found in the Mandalian purses.
Enameled in shades of teal, mid green, coffee cream and gold, with a silvertone metal frame that features embossed flowers and foliage. It has a kiss clasp.
The condition is as close to excellent as a 100 year old purse can be. The frame and chain have a natural age appropriate amount of gentle patina, overall the purse has no damage or wear.
12cm wide across the base, from bottom of base trim to top of kiss clasp is 17.5cm.
